Camellia sinesis

Why do so many people want to learn how to make iced green tea? Green tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinesisplant. This flowering evergreen plant is used to make green tea, oolong tea, black tea, white tea and pu-erh tea. The differences in the teas has to do with the way they are processed after harvest to reach different oxidation levels. Twig tea also comes from Camellia sinensis. It uses the stems and twigs instead of the leaves.
